  1. You all mentioned how blogging is a kind of peer review. Have you heard that there's been official forays into testing the validity of this sort of peer-to-peer review (as they're calling it)?: http://chronicle.com/blogs/wiredcampus/taking-a-closer-look-at-open-peer-review/30877?sid=at&utm_source=at&utm_medium=en

(Also, Anna, yes--my adult students definitely need to be shown things step-by-step--sometimes several times! I teach at a for-profit and their minds seem to automatically switch off if I just tell them what to do.)

  2. And a question: someone (Rachel?) mentioned the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning conference. When I Google it, there appear to be a number of conferences by that name. Could you please provide a link to the one discussed on the show?

  3. Thanks for the comment, esp. so I can clarify -- It was the NC State Undergraduate Assessment Symposium, which had a SoTL track. Still -- a conference with both faculty and librarians attending, allowing myriad perspectives and introducing successful collaborations between the two. It looks as if that conference as evolved into the Atlantic Assessment Conference .

  4. Thanks for the links, Anna!

On an unrelated note: I can't get episodes 9-11 to download from iTunes, and when I click the blog links to listen to them, I get the following error: "Firefox can't find the server at ia311533.us.archive.org."

  5. I've gone through and fixed the links for 9-11; I'm not sure what happened, but they seem to be up and running now!

    Thanks for letting us know!
    Anna
